As peaceful as Tamarindo is during the day, it isn’t late at night. Well at least not on the weekends. Since our cabina does not have air conditioning, we sleep with the windows open. This is quite a party town with a hopping night life on Friday and Satuday nights. On the other side of our villa complex, there is an extremely loud discoteque. Techno music pulsating so loudly, that I could feel the concrete walls of our room shaking. Sean is able to sleep through anything, so he did not even know what I was talking about the next morning. Starting at 10pm and going nonstop till 3am, I lay wide awake, even with foam earplugs stuffed in my ears. Tonight I am hoping for a good night sleep, since I did not participate in siesta time today and we are catching a 5:30 bus in the morning.

Today was our last day in Tamarindo. We made the most of it as we soaked up the sun by the pool. Before we got too crispy, we mandered through shops looking for souvenirs for the kids.

Walking the beach one last time we decided to stop by “El Be!” again to see our amigo, Howard, and snack on fresh calamari ceviche. Then we scooted next door and sipped happy hour cocktails at Latitude Blue and watched our last beach sunset. (That is until we are back on Tybee)

Upon the suggestion from our Tybee friend, Jeffro, we were told to check out a fantastic Argentenian steak house called Patagonia.  We had made reservations earlier in the day for 8:00 this evening. A perfect way to top off our time in Tamarindo. Thanks Jeffro! We both had leftovers that will be our lunch on the bus tomorrow as we head to a little town north of San Jose called Grecia.

Before we called it a night, we said our goodbyes to Jack, who we will both miss…until he shows up on Tybee!
